Dynasty Rewards Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions define the relationship between the Dynasty Rewards Program operated by Dynasty Rewards Membership and its members.
Members of Dynasty Rewards must follow these terms and conditions and
these take precedence over any other regulation related to the Loyalty
Program. Members will agree with the following terms for collecting points
by using membership card or membership number.
All members must read and agree with the Terms and Conditions written in
this contract. All members must agree with the policy of THE SHILLA
SEOUL of using members’ personal information in accordance with THE
SHILLA SEOUL'S private information protective policy.
The purpose of the Dynasty Rewards Program is to provide benefits to the
members using THE SHILLA SEOUL (hereinafter, THE SHILLA). A member
can acquire Dynasty Points, the program currency, when issued a
membership card according to the membership policy and stay at
participating hotels under suitable conditions. Dynasty Points can be used
after being accumulated up to a certain amount. Different levels of Dynasty Rewards membership are applied based on the frequency of stay at THE
SHILLA.
Ⅰ. Summary of Membership Regulation
A. THE SHILLA regulates membership qualification and benefits of the
Dynasty Rewards program as well as earning and usage of the
membership points. Should any of these terms change, members will be
notified via email and the website 60 days in advance of the change.
Dynasty Rewards members are required to notify THE SHILLA of any
pertinent changes in information.
B. THE SHILLA has ownershipof Dynasty Points and its membership.
Any member terminating membership will have accumulated Dyansty points
returend to them and can no longer participate in the program. Returned
points will not have monetary value and unused or returned Dynasty Points
will not be refunded.
C. Dynasty Points and gift certificates are not subject to sale, exchange or
transfer by other companies except by THE SHILLA. Any attempt to do so is invalid.
D. THE SHILLA and associated companies are not responsible for loss of
membership application, letter, gift certificate and membership card or delayed delivery.
Ⅱ. Membership Eligibility Regulation
A. Membership in the program is available free of charge and is offered to
members using the participating hotels.
B. Members will be registered in the program from the day THE SHILLA
accepts a completed application form.
C. Only a member listed in the program can use membership. Members
cannot transfer their membership numbers to another party. All activities on a personal account are each member's sole responsibility regardless of by whom it's used (e.g. family, colleagues or any others). Corporations,
associations, or groups cannot enroll in the program.
D. Individuals are only eligible to have one membership. In case of an
attempt to own more than one membership, the respective membership and Dynasty Points will be terminated.
E. According to Clause 1-A, any member not cancelling the membership
during the 60-day period of advance notification of modified terms of
membership by THE SHILLA is regarded as keeping his/her membership.
Ⅲ. Cancellation or Termination of the membership
A THE SHILLA may cancel Dynasty Points and membership or discontinue
certain membership benefits. Cancellation or Termination is possible at any
point and effective immediately under the judgment of THE SHILLA given
the following circumstances where the member:
▪ Conducted illegal behavior
▪ Abused the power of the program membership
▪ Violated written Terms and Conditions
▪ Deceptively used Dynasty Points, or abused membership benefits and
advantages
▪ When requested payment by THE SHILLA is not settled, the membership is automatically cancelled with declaration of bankruptcy based on legal
jurisdiction and official procedure will follow.
▪ THE SHILLA can take legal action if circumstances are applicable to
conditions stated above.
B. If one or more of the conditions described above occur, legal action can
be taken by THE SHILLA. These Terms and Conditions do not limit the
legal or eligible rights of THE SHILLA.
C. Discontinued membership will result in the loss of accumulated Dynasty
Points and points will not be restored.
D. Conditions for maintaining valid membership are as below:
▪ When membership is not terminated by members or THE SHILLA
▪ When having stayed in participating hotels more than once within the past
60 months
E. If valid membership is not maintained, THE SHILLA will terminate the
membership and all accumulated Dynasty Points will be lost without any
notification.
F. If membership is cancelled by a member or by THE SHILLA for not
maintaining a valid membership, a respective member can re-join the
program but formerly accumulated Dynasty Points will not be restored.
Ⅳ. Level of Membership and Benefits
1. Dynasty Status: Membership and Benefits
A. A member will be registered as a Dynasty Status member upon
registering as a member.
B. Dynasty Status members can earn one point for every 1,000KRW spent at THE SHILLA. As a result, no Dynasty Point will be earned if a paid
check is bounced.
C. Dynasty Status members can receive a 20% discounted rate from
published room rates. Please make the reservation in advance and inform
us of the membership number upon making the reservation.
D. Dynasty Status members can be issued THE SHILLA DUTY FREE Shop VIP Silver card(10% Discount). (Some items may be excluded.)
E. THE SHILLA will maintain individuals’ profiles provided by each member.
Member profiles will be used to process reservation procedure and check-in
efficiently.
2. Gold Status: Membership and Benefits
A. A member will be eligible for Gold Status after staying at one of the
participating hotels for more than 3 times or for 8 nights within 1 calendar
year (Minimum condition for Gold Status.)
B. Eligible Stay will be recorded after staying for 1 or more nights at one
of the participating hotels. One overnight stay constitutes one eligible stay.
Any stay starts on the day of arrival.
C. Gold Status will be valid from the first day of the effective membership.
Even if members do not meet the necessary requirements of Gold Status
the following year, the level of status will not be downgraded to Dynasty
Status.
D. Gold Status members can earn one point for every 1,000KRW spent at
THE SHILLA with an additional 10% of points accumulated.
E. Gold Status members can receive a 25% discounted rate from published
room rates. Please make the reservation in advance and inform us of the
membership number upon making the reservation.
F. Gold Status members can be issued THE SHILLA DUTY FREE Shop
VIP Silver card(10% Discount). (Some items may be excluded.)
G. One EFL (Executive Floor Lounge) Room Upgrade coupon will be
provided to Gold Status members. Please inform the Reservation desk in
advance upon making a reservation using the coupon.
H. Gold Status members can present the Gold card and receive a 5%
discount at any of the restaurant outlets in the hotel regardless of stay.
I. Gold Status members can receive the following benefits during the stay:
▪ 20% discount on laundry service
▪ Free access to sauna
3. Platinum Status: Membership and Benefits
A. A member will be eligible for Platinum Status after staying at one of the participating hotels for more than 7 times or for 18 nights within 1 calendar
year (Minimum condition for Platinum).
B. Platinum Status membership is valid for 1 year from the day of
registration. If members satisfy the requirements for Platinum Status in the
following year, the membership will be valid for another 12 months. If the
requirements are
not met in the following year, the membership will be downgraded to Gold
Status.
C. Platinum Status members can earn one point for every 1,000KRW spent
at THE SHILLA with an additional 20% of points accumulated.
D. Platinum Status members can receive a 30% discounted rate from
published room rates. Please make the reservation in advance and inform
us of the membership number upon making reservations.
E. Platinum Status members can be issued THE SHILLA DUTY FREE
Shop VIP Gold card(15% Discount). (Some items may be excluded.)
F. Two EFL (Executive Floor Lounge) Room Upgrade coupons will be
provided to Platinum members. Please inform the Reservation desk in
advance upon making a reservation using the coupon.(Not reissued when
lost)
G. Platinum Status members can present the Platinum card and receive a 5% discount at any of the restaurant outlets in the hotel regardless of stay.
H. Platinum Status members can receive the following benefits along with
Gold Status benefits during the stay:
▪ Charges for only one companion in room will be exempted
▪ Free pressing service (1 shirt per stay)
▪ Usage of the EFL conference room for two hours(reservation required)
4. Diamond Status: Membership and Benefits
A. A member will be eligible for Diamond Status after staying at one of the
participating hotels for more than 16 times or for 40 stays within 1 calendar
year (Minimum conditions for Diamond).
B. Diamond Status membership is valid for 1 year from the day of
registration. If members satisfy the requirements for Diamond Status in the
following year, the membership will be valid for another 12 months. If the
requirements are not met in the following year, the membership will be
downgraded to Gold
Status.
C. Diamond Status members can earn 1 point for every 1,000KRW spent
at THE SHILLA with an additional 30% of points accumulated.
D. Diamond Status members can receive a 35% discounted rate from
published room rates. Please make the reservation in advance and inform
us of the membership number upon making the reservation.
E. Diamond Status members can be issued THE SHILLA DUTY FREE
Shop VIP Gold card(15% Discount). (Some items may be excluded.)
F. Two EFL (Executive Floor Lounge) Room Upgrade coupons and One
Suite Room Upgrade coupon will be provided to Diamond Members. Please inform the Reservation desk in advance upon making a reservation using
the coupon.(Not duplicated with free night coupon, Not reissued when lost)
G. Diamond Status members can present the Diamond card and receive a
10% discount at any of the restaurant outlets in the hotel regardless of
stay.(Not reissued when lost)
H. Diamond Status members will receive one hotel voucher for two nights
at THE SHILLA. (Room type is Executive Grand Deluxe room and may
change without any notification per status of the hotel).
I. Diamond Status members will be provided with Executive Lounge service
along with Platinum Status benefits.
J. Diamond Status members will be guaranteed at least 1 guestroom even
if the hotel is full with 72 hours advance reservation (room type may
change per status of the hotel).
K. Diamond Status members will be provided with Early check in (09:00)
and Late check out (15:00)(In case of Early check in, Room type may
change accoriding to the status of the Hotel.)
Ⅴ.Earning Dynasty Points
A. Members can earn Dynasty Points for their respective membership by
providing their membership number upon making a reservation or upon
check-in at participating hotels.
B. Proper payment means the total amount of room charge, room service,
restaurant, bar, conference center, fitness club, beverage, phone call, fax,
laundry, and pay-per-view in the guest room.
C. The following categories are not included in the point system.
▪ Banquet charge
▪ Facility charges without using a guest room
▪ Direct payment without adding the total amount of room charge
▪ Any charges made by third party other than the member him/her self
▪ Payment occurring in outlets not operated by THE SHILLA
▪ Valet Parking Fee
▪ Internet Discount charges(expedia.com, hotels.com) except the shilla.co.kr,
group discount charges through travel agency.
D. A Dynasty Rewards Member can earn the total amount of Dynasty Points for a maximum of 10 additional rooms of the accompanying guests. (All the bills must be settled by the Dynasty Rewards member upon check-out at the front desk).
E. Members may accumulate airline mileage using earned Dynasty Points
for airlines participating in the Airline Loyalty Program. In order to earn the airline mileage, members need to inform accordingly upon making
reservations or upon check-in. Airline mileage is accumulated per one night and processed on a monthly basis that might cause a delay of confirmation.
Ⅵ. Usage of Dynasty Points and Regulation
A. Dynasty Points cannot be exchanged for cash.
B. Coupons or Gift-Certificates purchased with Dynasty Points cannot be
exchanged or refunded.
C. Hotel vouchers purchased with Dynasty Points are not applicable for use
at another hotel other than the hotel indicated on the voucher.
