Title 2009 Zagat Survey ranks - The Shilla Seoul as the best hotel in Seoul


The Shilla Seoul Hotel was awarded the title of the Best Hotel in Seoul
by world-famous
Zagat Worlds Top Hotels, Resorts and Spas for six consecutive years and was once again recognized as the representative hotel in Seoul.

 
Just like The Shilla Seoul, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Zagat, reporting on the shared experiences of consumers. Started in 1979, today they have over 350,000 surveyors and now cover airlines, bars, dining, entertaining, golf, hotels, resorts and spas in over 100 countries. Input from 21,783 avid travelers including 1,626 travel agents and meeting planners forms the basis for the ratings and reviews, which increases the credibility of the survey.
 
Zagat highly appraised The Shilla Seoul by commenting a staff thats always willing to help makes this upscale stalwart a heavenly way to Seoul; cutting a wide swath into a hillside in the Jung-gu neighborhood, its attractions include two pools, a phenomenal spa, a garden thats perfect for a meditative stroll, an extensive duty free mall and a complex of excellent restaurants
 
In the Seoul region, Ritz Carlton and W Seoul placed 2nd with an average score of 22.5 following after The Shilla with an average score of 23.75 out of 30.
 
For large hotels, Four Seasons George V Paris, Ritz Carlton Dallas, Peninsula in Chicago, Bangkok and Hong Kong, and Four Seasons Hong Kong scored the highest average scores of 28.
 
The Shilla was also recently selected in the Worlds Best 100 Hotels of the leading international finance magazine Institutional Investor in 2008 November.
